Celebrating Mother’s Day

Today, we celebrate Mother’s Day 2023.  This is an especially important Mother’s Day for me, as it is my very first as a Mother. I have been a daughter, Auntie, Dog-Mom, and Mentor, but prior to March 20th, never a Mom.

Greg and I celebrated the birth of our daughter, Summer Ann Tetz, on March 20th, 2023. As of today, she is just about 8 weeks old and the absolute light of our lives. To me, Summer is magic. She took this average woman and transformed me into something amazing; A Mother.

My hope for all of you is that you get to celebrate this day with someone meaningful in your own life. Whether that be your mom, your children or maybe someone who has helped shape you into the person you are today.

Being a mom and being responsible for this little life is challenging, but remember to BE KIND to yourself. (I remind myself of this daily.) Being a mom brings so many changes, not all of which are easy, but being kind to yourself is the greatest gift you can give yourself this Mother’s Day.
